Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Fifth Wheel Gooseneck Wiring Harness with the 7-pole connector. Part number 20110. Right here's what our 7-way looks like installed. As you can see, it sits up nice and flush against the bed at the side of our truck here close to the back. It's easy for us to hook up to. We don't have to worry about draping wire down over our tailgate when we hook it to our gooseneck or our fifth wheel trailer. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 3500, we are going to be showing you how to install the Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness. This offers the seventh pole plug. It's part number is 41157. This is a nice, easy addition to add to your truck, truly help making the connections with the fifth wheel trailers much easier. We're going to be able to locate a seven pole plug tied directly into the vehicle's wiring without having to do a lot of modifications. It's a pretty quick, straightforward job. They're a simple plug-and-play. You don't have to run any power directly to the batter in order to supply a module with power like our Tekonsha wiring harness has here. Now, the reason the Tekonsha runs directly to the battery is to supply power to this module box, which will isolate the vehicle from the trailer lighting system. more

T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we'll be having a look at the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow package and it will give us a 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part 118720. As you see we have plenty of room to connect to our trailer. When we're not using our wiring, we can just take the included dust cover here, slide it over the safety chain loop on our hitch and re-secure your wiring. It's up and out of the way. Today, on our 2016 GMC Terrain, we'll be having a look at the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number HM11141275. Here's what it looks like when it's all hooked up. Really easy to hook up to once we're ready to hook up to a trailer. Once we've arrived at our destination and we've unhooked our trailer, when we want to store this, little trick here. You can take your dust cover, slide it around your safety chain loop here, and then secure the dust cover back over the wiring. This will help keep your wiring from hanging down and getting snagged on something. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 GMC Terrain- Video
Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the tow ready, T1 Vehicle wiring harness with four pull back trailer connector. Part number 118494. Here's what this wiring harness is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, gives us a four-fold connector here through the vehicle. It's nice because it gives us a module that what it does is help prevent any back feeding or surging back into the vehicle's electrical system that there's a short in the trailer. That's going to make sure that your vehicle's wiring is protected. This kit's going to be a good solution to make sure that you've got power for your trailer if you have a four-fold connector, and it's always going to be here when you need it. more

Today in our 2016 GMC Sierra 3500, we'll be installing the tow-ready fifth wheel and gooseneck wiring harness for 7-pole, part #20110. Here's what our kit comes with. We have our 7-way adapter here. CC has this nice dust cover with a gasket on it that snaps shut. It'll keep any dirt, debris, or moisture from entering it and causing corrosion. We have our wiring harness with our T-connector here. This will tap in the factory 7-way underneath the vehicle. more

Today on our 2015 GMC Acadia we're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number C56245. Now here's what our kit's going to look like when we get it. We've got our instructions here, a couple of shorter zip ties, we got our dust cover that's going to cover the plug on the end, and also I like to use this to help secure it, the relays that we'll need to put in to make everything work properly, and then this is the basic heart of the system. You've got your 4-Pole Trailer Connector here. This gives us brakes, it gives us blinkers, and it's going to give us running lights to a trailer or maybe even a cargo carrier or something like that. more

Curt 5th Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today, in our 2016 GMC 2500, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Curt Fifth Wheel Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness and Seven Pole Connector. Part number C56070. Here is what our kid is going to consist of. We're going to have a seven foot extension cable. We'll have a C connector that's going to plug in between our factory seven way, and allow us to run an extension up. We'll mount this in the bed that way 00:00:30 we can plug-in or gooseneck or fifth wheel. That's going to come with some zip ties and some mounting screws. It is going to require that we drill a two and an eighth inch hole, once was located in an area we want to mount it in. more

Today in our 2007 GMC Sierra Classic, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Hopkins Endurance Fifth-Wheel Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness. This offers a 7 hole plug. Its card number is 41157. For the beginner installation, we need to find our factory wiring connection or after-market wiring connection, it doesn't matter too bad, as long as it's a 7-way that offers a plug in in the back. What we'll do is press down this little tab on top, and that's going to allow us to separate this connection. As you can see it's just a basic 7-way connection. We can grab our harness, this is exactly how it's going to come out of the box. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Acadia we're gonna be taking a look at installing a tow ready T-One vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package four-pole flat trailer connector. Part number one-one-eight-two-seven-zero. Here's what it's gonna look like once it's installed. A really nice feature about this wiring harness is it plugs into your factory harness and does not require any tapping into any wires, or cutting, or splicing. It's gonna plug into a plug that's already on your vehicle and you're gonna install some included fuses and relays. It's gonna run through your factory fuse box, then you know everything's gonna work properly because it was done that way from the factory. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Terrain, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118494. Now we'll go ahead and test out our wiring to make sure that it's all working properly. Go ahead and connect our ground to the ground post. Then our brown wire here is going to be your taillight circuit. It should have a solid light, as it does. Now we'll go ahead and test out the left turn signal, which will be that yellow wire connected to the driver's side. Has an alternating signal, and the green should be the same for the passenger's side. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 GMC Savana Van- Video
Today, in our 2014 GMC Savana Van we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole Flat Trailer. Part number 55540. When we're ready to use it, all we need to do is pull it out the back, run it down between the bumper, and out the bottom to connect to our trailer by our receiver. We can close up the doors since the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't damage our wires. Now, I'll go ahead an open up that rear hatch of our vehicle to start our installation. First thing we're going to do is locate our wiring adapter from the factory. If you look at the T-connector on the Curt, it's going to have the same style connector. more

Today a 2011 GMC Sierra. We're going to the Draw-Tite fifth wheel and gooseneck wiring harness with a 7-pole connector, part number 20110. A few things to know about wire harness is that it's length is 7 and 1/2 foot long so you can keep it near the tailgate or made for a sliding camper. You can run it towards the cab of a truck. It does simply plug it between OEM wiring harness and the factory installed 7-way connector. Also, this does retain the use of the factory 7-way inaudible 00:00:27 vehicle so you have 2 in the back of your truck, one in the bed and one in the bumper. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 GMC Acadia- Video
Today, on our 2011 GMC Acadia, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt 4-pole T-connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, Part #C56056. First thing you want to do is open up the rear hatch so you have access to the back of the vehicle. With this nice area on the back side here, we'll set out everything that comes in your kit. As you can see, the 4-pole connector part will be here in the center. The black and yellow wire with the plug and play setup will go to the left, to the driver's side. The white and green with the plug and play setup will go to the passenger side with that ground wire as well. You also have your protective rubber cap that will go over to protect the connections here on the 4-pole once you have it on the back of your vehicle. more

Today, on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, we're going to install part number HM40975. This is a Pollack 7 and 4 pole trailer connector socket with mounting bracket. There's a couple of other parts that come with the kit. This is the bracket right here that you can use to relocate your wire harness. It also comes with the hardware, 2 self-tacking screws, to install it into steel. This is our new part. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 GMC Terrain 56094- Video
Today on our 2013 GMC Terrain we're going to be installing the CURT t-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56094. Now we're going to first begin our installation by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. With our rear hatch raised up we're going to need to remove each of the taillights. Now to do that we'll need to remove the plastic cover here as well as right here. Just a small flat head screwdriver will allow you to slide in and remove the plastic cap. With the plastic cap removed we're going to take a 10mm socket and remove the bolt from here and here. more

Today on this 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 Crew Cab we're going to install part number 41157. This is the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with a 7-Pole Plug. First off you'll find the location for your 7-pole connector. This is largely personal but typically we install it in this corner right here. I think there's a nice opening below the stake pocket here that we can install it. We'll drill out a quarter inch pilot hole first and then follow up with two and an eighth inch hole saw. more

Today on our 2012 GMC Savana, we will be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-pole flat connector, part number 118392. The first step to installing our wiring harness is to open up the back of the van. We'll need to remove these two panels. You don't actually have to completely remove them. We can just pop out these quick connects and get the panel back out of the way. With those out of the way, you'll see our wiring harness we'll be working with here. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 GMC Safari- Video
Today on our 2004 GMC Safari we'll be installing the Draw-Tite 4-pole Hardwire Kit, part number 18252. This kit also includes the circuit tester. When using your 4-flat wire, we will run the wire between the two lower doors making sure that we clear the door latch, yet the wire will not be crushed because the weather stripping will allow it to conform into it. When not in use we'll fold the wire back up and store it with the rest of the wire. In this case it's under a small box that is located at the right rear of the vehicle in the same area where the spare tire jack is. To begin with we'll go ahead and open up the rear doors on our vehicle. Next we will locate the wiring harness that we'll need to tie into. In this case it is located at the rear of the vehicle on the passenger side on the inside. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1996 GMC Jimmy- Video
Today on this 1996 GMC Jimmy 4 door, we're going to install Part Number C55411. This is a Current Vehicle Wire Harness with a 4 pole flat trailer connector. This is a wire harness with a current. This is designed to splice into the vehicle's wire harness. In this case, the Jimmy has a built-in tow package that you retrieve out behind the bumper, pull it down, open it up, and then we'll go ahead and make our attachments using the quick splice connectors. Behind the bumper on the driver's side is our tow package. We'll go ahead and cut the zip tie and pull it out. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2001 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2001 GMC Sierra, we'll be installing the Pollack 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Connector, part number PK11893-11932. Now to begin our install, we'll first go ahead and find a location to mount the new 7-pole connector and drill out our holes. In our pickup bed on the driver's side just behind the rear wheel well is a good location. Using a 2-inch hole saw bit, we'll go ahead and drill out our hole. Now in order to get our wiring harness fed from underneath and up through our hole, we'll need to remove the two fasteners that secure the mudguard here behind the wheel well. There's one just on the inside of the wheel well lip and one underneath the tail light area. Once we have the fasteners out, we can go ahead and pull the guard down. Now that we have the wire fed into position, we'll move back to the pickup bed where we'll install the wires into the back of the connector. Now when installing our wires, each connector is faintly marked with a number. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 GMC Terrain 56094- Video
Today in our 2012 GMC Terrain, well be installing the Curt T-Connector 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part number 56094. To begin our install, well first go ahead and open up the rear cargo hatch. Well need to remove both rear taillight assemblies and to do this there are two fasteners that have plastic caps and then the fasteners to remove. Well go ahead and use a small screwdriver to remove the plastic caps and then we can remove the two screw fasteners underneath. Once we removed the screw fasteners, well then go ahead and pop the taillight assembly out of its current position being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Now with the taillight assembly removed, well go ahead and press the manufacturers wire connector locking tab and remove it from the taillight assembly. Well go ahead and set the taillight assembly aside for reinstallation. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2001 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2001 GMC Sierra Regular Cab Two-Wheel Drive, we'll be installing the CURT Vehicle Wiring Harness Four Pull Flat Trailer Connector with 60-inch wire lead, part number C58044. To begin with, we'll go ahead and go underneath the rear of the vehicle. We need to locate the wiring harness that we'll be tying into. As you can see here, the wiring harness is located here from the factory. Now first well go ahead and strip off the ends of the wire so we can put our butt connectors on. We'll do this on our four flat end first and then we'll go ahead and put the butt connector on those. Now the kit comes with quick-splice connectors but we're going to opt to use some butt connectors instead, which are part number DW05714. You'll need a total of four of these to make the connections. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 GMC Savana Van- Video
Today on our 2006 GMC Savannah we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 55540. To start we need to access the back of the van. We need to open both doors. To install the wiring harness we need to remove the interior trim panels. We're going to start over here on the driver's side. We need to remove the two screw covers, and for this we're using the trim remover tool but you can also use a flat headed screwdriver. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on our 2010 GMC Arcadia we'll be installing Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4 pull trailer connector, part number C56056. The first thing we'll need to do is gain access to the back of the Arcadia. With the tailgate open we'll remove these tabs on the tail light and then remove those 2 bolts. With the 2 bolts removed, we just pop the tail light right out of place. Next, pop that tab up and slide the wiring harness out. Repeat that process on the passenger side of the vehicle. Now that the tail light's off we can start running the wiring harness. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video
Today is 2013 GMC Sierra. We're going to install part number 41157. This the Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Goose Neck Wiring Harness. All right, now the first step of our install is to go ahead and find a location for our 7 Pole Connector. This will be our 7 Pole connector, we would like it to install about right here. All right first step is to drill a quarter inch pilot hole. more

Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 GMC Sierra, we'll be installing the Bargman fifth wheel Gooseneck 90-degree wiring harness with seven-pole plug, part number 54701-003. We'll go ahead and choose a location to mount our seven-way plug. I know we need to put a pilot hole through the bed. We're going to make sure on the back side that there's nothing that could be damaged. Once we have our quarter-inch pilot hole drilled, we'll come back with a two-inch hole saw. Now we'll take our end of the wiring harness that has two plugs on it and feed it to the hole we just drilled. Now that we have our wires fed down through the two-inch hole, we'll go ahead and take a small drill bit and put a pilot hole into each of the four mounting locations on the plug. Once we have a pilot hole on each of the four locations, we'll go ahead and put the self-tapping screws in place securing the plug to the bed of the truck. Now we'll go and take the end of our wire and route it over into the back of our factory seven-way plug. Now that we have our wires routed over to the backside of the factory seven way, we'll need to unplug the factory seven-way plug. To do this, we'll remove the small gray locking tab. more

Pollak Twist-In Trailer Connector Installation - 2012 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on this 2012 GMC Sierra, we're going to install part number PK11916. First thing we need to do is go ahead and remove the cap that is on bumper of our truck. We'll push down a small tab and rotate it and it will come through. Then the back side of the cap is a factory towing package and its wire harness. We're going to pull them out a little bit and we'll release the cap from the harness. There's a small white lock that we have to remove then we'll push down at the center of the latch so we can pull the cap off the wire harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 GMC Acadia- Video
Today on this 2012 GMC Acadia, we're going to be installing Tow Ready Trailer Harness, part number 118451. The first thing we need to do is remove the tail lights. There are two screws holding in each tail light housing. We'll use a small flat headed screwdriver to pop open the covers and use a 7-mm socket to remove the screws and remove our two tail lights. Be careful as you pry the mount not to break off the positioning tabs or tear the wiring. With the tail light out, we'll go ahead and disconnect it from the vehicle's factory harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2012 GMC Sierra Denali, were going to install the Bargman seven pole harness, part number 50-97-410. The first step of our installation is to locate a suitable spot for our seven pole connector. Here in the bed of the truck, is an excellent location, as behind it we have enough clearance before we meet the outside of the fender. Next well need to drill a two inch hole to feed our wire through.Now with our hole made, we can go ahead and take the new seven pole harness and carefully feed it through the hole. You want to be very careful because the edges that we just created by drilling the hole will be very sharp. Now weve got our seven pole into position, we can go ahead and use the cell tapping screws provided with our install kit to secure it.Now underneath the vehicle well go ahead and start routing our wire over to the back of the bumper. more
